While you probably already know that protein is important for your body, you may not know how easy it can be to get protein into your body. After all, you may not be able to eat meat for every meal, but this does not mean that you will be unable to get protein into your body!
It is recommended that each person get at least 50 grams of protein each day; once you know the foods that have protein, this can actually be quite easy.
Anyone who starts their day off with two or three eggs is already getting a large portion of the protein they need for the day. Each egg has about six grams of protein, so if you have three eggs in the morning, you only need 32 more grams the rest of the day.
Nuts are another great place to get protein, but the best nuts for protein are peanuts. The biggest reason why peanuts are great for you is because of the fact that they give you the protein you need without giving you a lot of other stuff you do not need. You can also get about 7 grams of protein just from one single tablespoon of peanut butter!
Fish are, of course, among the healthiest foods for you, but they are also extremely rich in necessary protein. Another great source of protein – one that may already be a part of your daily life – is dairy products such as yogurt and milk.
Finally, drinking smoothies that have protein powder in them is the easiest way to get big chunks of protein all at once. If you make a smoothie with orange juice, a banana, and strawberries, and add protein powder to it, you will have a healthy treat that is great for any time of day.
